That one-room house with a bed,
for grandma, instead of a sofa.
And the boy that found the blue egg
atop that mansion he was set to live in.
But…

Fate brought me to a new city, and
a house I barely remember in.
Another city to a house with two rooms
in a car to a place that seemed far.
And another after the tidal wave.
and another I could call my own.
One I learnt to call home.
One I thought I’d never leave.
But…

Destiny took me to the other side.
One where I’d unlearn all I learned.
Forget the old (?) and forge anew.
For the first time, this one felt like
home.

she naively asks.
